Trick-or-Treat

Man, what a night! We went to Landon's house to Trick-or-Treat tonight. Those boys were all over the place. They ran from house to house. The boys are still learning the rules of Trick-or-Treating. Ya know only knock on doors that have their porch light on!

Here they are! Ben (SpiderMan), Landon (Captain Hook) and Abigail (Larry Boy). These kids are ready to go! I didn't get a picture of my niece, Macee, but she was a flower. She was so precious!!

Ben LOVES candy! Look at him checkin' out his loot!
Gosh he looks so big in this picture. Makes me sad!

Getting Ready....

We've been getting ready for Halloween at our house. Ben is so excited this year... 4 years old is fun, fun!
First we got the Halloween/Fall decorations down from the attic. Then Ben informed we don't have enough decorations. So I had him help me make this cute wreath with spider web and big spiders on it. (Sorry no picture and I am to lazy to get up and take one!)
We have Ben's costume. He is going to be "Spider Man with the muscles" as he calls it. I will post pictures after we go Trick-or-Treating with his cousin Landon on Saturday.

Last Saturday we went to the Pumpkin Patch. They had all kinds of animals.

(In case anyone needs a Christmas gift idea for Me. I want the one in front with the white legs!)
There was also a Hay and Corn Maze. It was so fun.
This is the only picture Ben would let me take. Being a 4 year old boy means no pictures!

Ben woke me up Tuesday morning at 6:45am to make Halloween Cookies. He had to wait until 9:45am!

The pumpkins are carved and lit!!!

Bring on the ghost and goblins! We are READY! But don't come to our house we will be at Landon's TRICK-OR-TREATING!!!

Rain, Rain Go Away!

It has been raining for what seems like FOREVER! It's also Fall Break at Ben's schools this week. So today we spent an hour at Sam's Wholesale and almost 2 hours at Walmart. We looked at EVERYTHING there! Seriously, EVERY toy was looked at and discussed. So my goal tonight is to come up with some fun projects for Ben to do this week. Things we can do inside since it won't STOP raining.

This afternoon I let Ben make Dipped Pretzel Sticks. They are EASY and YUM YUM!

Ben gets so excited to decorate! His decorating tip: SPRINKLES, SPRINKLES, SPRINKLES! Then after decorating the second one he's done and ready to eat his creations. Which left me to decorate them all by myself. But he did sit at the table and boss me around while I finished them.

Can you tell which ones I decorated and the ones Ben did?

"Mommy STOP takin' my picture!"

It's Fair Time!!!

We went to the Tulsa State Fair on Sunday! The weather was nice and cool... So it was the perfect fair day. Complete with a big ol' Turkey Leg!!!

Ben had lots of fun riding rides!

Looks like Ben got tired of walking around. He hitched a ride with his Uncle Luke.

Then Ben and I went to Disney on Ice. They had the Cars characters there this year. We bought a $10 bag of cotton candy that had a Lightning McQueen hat on it (which Ben will never wear). Oh and we had to have the $12 sport bottle with the Cars Koozie on it. He liked the Cars performance, but after that he was DONE! We left at intermission.

It was a great family day for all of us!!!!!
