1st Grader!

Today is Ben's first day of 1st Grade!
We are very lucky to be able to send him to such a great school!!!
Monday we took all of his school supplies and he got to see where in the class he would be sitting.  I was happy to see he was in between two girls... this will hopefully keep him quiet :)
Mrs. Madden is a great teacher and I'm excited to see what all Ben learns this year!
Last night Ben let me know this was the last "first day" or any day that I would be able to walk him to class.  He has grown up so much!  I am very happy that he is that comfortable to go in to school by himself.  I on the other hand am not sure how much I like this-ha!

A One-derful Time!

Reese celebrated her 1st birthday on Saturday!  She got all dressed up in her best dress and pink toenails and partied!  All of our family came over to help celebrate.  Reese is so blessed to have so many people that love her.  She had a great time and got some really fun presents!

Reese, this was Mommy's rocking chair that Gigi got her on her for Christmas when she was 2.  Pops painted and fixed it.   Gigi had the adorable  cushion made for it.  It is a beautiful gift and I hope you know how special it is.

Happy Birthday Reese!

Happy 1st Birthday to our sweet Reese!

I can't believe you are 1 already!  It seems like we were just bringing you home from the hospital (well after a short stay in the NICU).  

You were 6lbs 7ozs and 19inches long.  You had some problems breathing so you had to stay in the NICU for 9 days.  It was the longest 9 days EVER!  You were so teeny laying in the NICU bed hooked up to all of the breathing machines.  It was so hard not to be able to take you home with us.

  But now you would never even know you had any issues with your lungs.  You are a healthy, sweet, fun, loving, energetic, and beautiful baby girl! 

You weigh 23lbs and are 29inches long.  You wear 12-18 month clothes, size 4 diapers, and a 4 in shoes.  Your favorite food right now is Luncheables, strawberries, and Veggie Straws.  You love milk!

You are always on the GO!  You play and mess all day... unless you are napping-ha!

You are walking all the time now.  You love to take people for walks.  You hold on to our finger and walk us where you want to go.  

You like to carry something in your hand or hands all the time.  The other day you had a piece of dog food in your hand... not sure how long you had been carrying it-ha!

You are just precious!  

You are always happy!  You smile and laugh all day.

Your big brother loves you!  He tells you that he loves you and that you are pretty all the time.  It melts my heart!  He plays with you a lot and is always helping me take care of you.

You don't really say any words.  You babble a lot.  

You wave hi and bye.  You love to clap your hands to "Happy and you know it" and "Pat-A-Cake".  When we play music you dance around.
